CMRU-SOLS-SIC-DISHA online Workshop- Unleash the Hidden Potential-29-09-2020

CMR University School of Legal Studies DISHA Workshop 2020 – Social Impact Club Date: 29th September 2020 Time of session: 2pm – 4pm Number of participants: 59 The Social Impact Club of School of Legal Studies, CMR University, along with DISHA Bharat (Charitable Trust) had organized an online workshop on 29th September 2020 from 2pm to 4pm which had numerous interactive sessions, stories, games, videos and involved experience sharing’s. The workshop was conducted through the Google Meet platform with maximum of 100 participants on a first come first serve basis. The students would further receive an e-certificate for their participation. Our one of student participants Geethanjali has given the wide welcome address with the note of her previous experience with DISHA offline workshop happened on 26-09-2019. This workshop was refreshing to students as it was interactive rather than any basic online seminar. It dealt with aspects like students sharing happy moments in their lives to the challenges faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. They showed inspirational videos of esteemed individuals like Jyothi Reddy and K Sivan in an attempt to motivate students to push themselves and strive for success. They had conducted an emoji quiz which contained brain-teasing questions for the students. They had elaborately discussed on the keys to success. This was done in order to help the students to understand that success requires works and to look at achieving it from a different perspective. The workshop ended with the students sharing their experience with DISHA Bharat and how it had helped them look at things differently. In a nutshell, the workshop aimed to make the students understand the moral values through interactions, fun games and quizzes instead of going about it in the usual way. Finally our student participant Maheshwari has given her Vote of Thanks. The activities involved ha follows: 1. Puzzle games (PPE Kits, Statue of Unity, M.P.Harshavardhan Goyal, Aatma Nirbhar Bharat) 2. Interactions a. Proud moment in the recent past. b. Challenges faced in the recent past. c. What are the learnings from those challenges? d. Traditional classrooms to Virtual Classrooms e. Negative responses f. Positive responses g. Challenges- hidden opportunities (video of Jyothi Reddy)
