VIRTUAL TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION 2020 “A teacher is a compass that activates the magnets of curiosity, knowledge, and wisdom in the pupils.” -Ever Garrison We have been locked away from our colleges since March 2020 which means we have been away from the most inspirational and motivational people of our lives. The only medium of communication was a virtual screen, however, our teachers ensured that this does not act as a hindrance between them and us. So… This year’s Teachers day was a little extra special. It was the time to thank our teachers for their dedicated service throughout this pandemic. So, the students of CMR University School of Legal Studies through their Performing Arts and Social Impact Club ensured that the fun and celebration was not compromised. The result was a Virtual Teacher’s Day Celebration. A funfilled google meet session where books or pdfs did not take the centre stage instead it was laughter and memories. The show kicked off with a welcome speech by Adya and was followed by the ever-inspirational words of our Hon’ble Dean Dr. T. Subramanya. A video full of love and gratitude was a way to thank our teachers this year. Teachers also indulged in games and improv acts in an ebullient manner marking it off as another Teachers day to remember!! The fact that teachers are indeed, ‘the wind beneath our wings’ was expressed through a video with pictures of our best memories with our beloved teachers. A rib-tickling skit was presented by Rashi and team as they emulated our teachers in a ‘sneak peek of a zoom call between college staff’. Cheosang’s vibrant dance performance added a colourful splash of ever-budding talent in CMR. The celebration came to an end with Aparmita delivering the Vote of thanks and was wrapped up with merriment!!
