Know about National Youth day...

From January 12th, 1984, this day of January 12th is celebrated as National Youth Day as marked by the Government of India to recognize the importance of the youth in the nation in lines with the aspirations and inspirations of Swami Vivekananda. As said by him through his teachings, “Youth is the future”, they drive the present to the future from the lessons of the past. Hence, to build a sturdy country like India, Swami Vivekananda says the foundation of this dream to be the brave, frank, clean- hearted, courageous and aspiring youth. “The younger generation, the modern generation has all power within them and they can do anything and everything”, he believed.

“Youth means to place your firm confidence in yourself and exercise your hopeful determination and resolution and willing good intentions in this beautiful task of self-culture”. Though the surveys and figures certify an age period to be youth, youth is actually the zeal and enthusiasm, a person puts in achieve his dream. When the physical capacity cooperates with the mental excitements, the sky is the limit and the youth can lead the nation onto flying colors.

We know India to be a young country with an average age of 28 years, where the youth has never left any stone unturned in supporting the society, the realm as a whole and of course they themselves. The country has noticed a strong trend of young and successful entrepreneurs following the words of Swami Vivekananda “See for the highest, aim at the highest and you shall reach the highest”. The Nation’s Youth has come forward to support in the tough times of the country like in the COVID pandemic and floods and scarcities noticed during the present tough times.

“Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man.” The youth have to pull up their socks and mentor themselves to achieve heights and glorious positions utilizing their youth. Gone are the days, when experience was the sole shot of success, now in present days, expertise has been ruling the world, be it with a tiny idea or a colossal plan.

Before the pandemic of COVID, we all had celebrated the Youth Day in the educational institutions and other public gatherings and have remembered the teachings of Swami Vivekananda and instigate ourselves to follow the path of wisdom. Owing to the present environments, let’s all celebrate this ‘the’ day by remembering Swami Vivekananda and his preaching’s by ourselves.
